HATBORO, PA — A 23-year-old woman is in custody on numerous charges after a domestic disturbance at a condominium complex on Sunday — including trying to kick a police officer three times, police said.
Emily Abbruzzi, 23, faces charges of aggravated assault on police, simple assault, resisting arrest, harassment, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct.
Hatboro Police responded on Sunday to Hatters Court in the Woodwinds Condo Complex for the report of a domestic disturbance in progress.
While officers were responding, they received information that seven people were in a fist fight outside in the parking lot.
Police, though, did not find a large-scale fight.
They did find Abbruzzi in violation of statutes regarding Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness.
As they attempted to take her into custody, she kicked an officer in the leg. She was able to be secured in handcuffs and as she was being placed in the back of the patrol vehicle, she attempted to kick the same officer in the chest.
As she was being seat belted into the patrol vehicle, she attempted for a third time to kick the same officer, this time in the face, police said.
She was arraigned on Monday. Bail was set at $1,000. A preliminary hearing is pending.
