HATBORO, PA — The Iron Oven is coming.
The signage is now up on the new South York Road restaurant in the borough's downtown district.
Owner Alex Nalbandian provided an update to Patch on the status of The Iron Oven opening its second location. The Iron Oven has operated on Street Road in Southampton for the past eight years.
Nalbandian said he hopes to be ready the week before Thanksgiving with plans to hold a private soft opening event on Nov. 30.
The Iron Oven is taking over the property from the former Ross & Co., which operated at the site for 10 months.
Iron Oven is known for its quality food, monthly specials, great service, a menu featuring clean ingredients, and long rolls baked on the premises.
Nalbandian started the process of acquiring the site when Bernie's closed, but Ross & Co. acquired the location when Bernie's closed, but its owner bickered with the Hatboro Borough Council for showing a lack of support for the business and it closed after 10 months.
