BASEBALL: Hatboro-Horsham Falls To North Penn To End Playoff Run

"I am so grateful for the ride," said Coach Peter Moore, after his team fell to North Penn in the District 1 Playoffs.

The Hatboro-Horsham High School boys baseball team went into Wednesday’s District 1-AAAA playoff game looking for vengeance against arch-rival North Penn, who had beat them by one run to earn the SOL Continental Conference title the week before.

This time it was not so close, as the North Penn offense exploded for four early runs en-route to a 9-3 victory.

The Hatters were a close knit contingent of graduating seniors that had hoped to extend the season further, but they faced a North Penn offense that’s been on fire.

This was not how or when any of us wanted it to end, but I am so grateful for the ride this group took us on. Thank you to our 16 seniors.

These seniors will be remembered not only for their talent, but more importantly, for their special bond on and off the field. #family

One senior who never saw his name in a box score deserves some recognition. Manager Matt Cummins was more than we could have ever asked for.
