The Hatters pulled out yet another win in the sixth inning or later with a 5-4 win over Nazareth at Parkland High School Tuesday. The Hatters now have four post-season wins, all of which they have taken the lead in the sixth or seventh inning.
The Hatters jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on RBI sac flies by Chris Hens and Grant Opalisky and Casey Saverio scored on a throwing error. The Blue Eagles tied the game up with three unearned runs in the third inning and then took a 4-3 lead in the fifth inning.
The Hatters tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the sixth inning when Grant Opalisky and Casey Saverio pulled off a double steal that scored Saverio.
Hatboro-Horsham took the lead in the top of the seventh inning when Zach Crim walked and advanced to third on Tyler Zingle's double. After Conner Crookham was hit by a pitch, senior Casey Saverio recorded his fourth hit of the game and scored Crim.
Senior Casey O'Donnell closed it out in the seventh inning. O'Donnell pitched a complete game five-hitter striking out 11 in the process.
The Hatters will next face Wyoming Valley West at Noon on Thursday at Parkland High School.
