Bernie's Restaurant In Hatboro Raided By State Police: Officials
State Police was at the South York Street eatery Wednesday morning to conduct a raid for a liquor license violation, borough officials said.

HATBORO, PA —Bernie's Restaurant —a popular eatery in the borough —underwent a raid by state police Wednesday morning, borough officials said.
Borough officials with knowledge of the investigation said Pennsylvania State Police raided the restaurant at 58 S. York Road due to a liquor license violation.
There were armed agents inside the building as State Police conducted the raid due to the sale of alcohol without a permit.

The restaurant's liquor license expired on April 30, according to the Pennsylvania liquor license enforcement website.
Borough officials said the restaurant had been selling liquor to undercover police officers.

A call to Bernie's by Patch was not answered. A message was also left with the State Police Barracks in Skippack, Montgomery County.
