Black History Concert To Be Held At Hatboro-Horsham High

The free event next week also includes a Black Business Owner Showcase in the high school lobby before the concert.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Hatboro-Horsham School District will hold a concert in honor of Black History Month next week.

The Hatboro-Horsham High School Music Department invites the community to a Black History Month concert at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, in the Hatboro-Horsham Senior High School Auditorium.

The evening will feature performances by the combined 7th, 8th, and high school honors choirs, concert choir, treble choir, Madrigals, Hatters Rock, and student poetry readings.

The program highlights the impact, artistry, and legacy of Black musicians and voices, school officials said.

Before the concert, a Black Business Owner Showcase will be held in the lobby from 5-6:30 p.m. in support of local Black-owned businesses.

The concert will also feature guest teaching artist and vocalist Dr. Jillian Harrison-Jones.

The event is free and open to the public.
