Blair Mill Road Stretch Closing For Weekend
Horsham Township officials said plans changed to perform construction this weekend instead of next week.
HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Blair Mill Road will be closing this weekend for construction instead of over the next two weeks, township officials said.
Officials said a stretch of the key road in Horsham and used by residents in Hatboro and surrounding communities will close at 6 p.m. on Friday and reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday.
The road will be closed between Gibraltar Road and Welsh Road.

"It was decided to ‘rip off the band aid’ and close the road for a weekend rather than have a two-week detour," officials said.
During the closure, drivers will be directed to follow the posted detour route.

Local access will be maintained at all times for residents, businesses and emergency vehicles.
The Blair Mill Road Widening Phase II project is scheduled to be substantially completed by the end of June.
Township officials said drivers should consider a different route of travel, leave yourself extra time, be patient and be mindful of the construction workers in the roadway.
