Burn Victim Transported In 2nd Horsham Township Fire Monday

Fire officials said the second fire caused heavy smoke damage to an Old Mill Road home. The first fire Monday also injured a resident.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —One person suffered burns from a fire Monday afternoon in which heavy smoke was reported at a home on Old Mill Road, authorities said.

Multiple fire companies battled the blaze at 4:20 p.m. Monday on the 300 Block of Old Mill Road off Dresher Road. Crews were on the scene for several hours. The fire marked the second in Horsham Township Monday.

Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania posted the transport of the burn victim from a playground on its Facebook page. See video below.

The extent of the injuries were not reported.

Police and fire officials reported heavy smoke upon arriving on the scene. Fire crews were able to control the fire but an extensive overhaul was needed to locate hot spots, fire officials said.

The fire is currently under investigation.

The Montgomery Township Fire Department Squad 18 assisted the Horsham Fire Company along with the Willow Grove Volunteer Fire Company's Station 10.

Earlier Monday, the Horsham Fire Department responded to the Maple Hill Apartments on the 200 block of Maple Avenue for a fire that was contained to one apartment. One person was injured during the fire, police said, but the injuries were unknown.
