Cell Phones Banned At Hatboro-Horsham Schools Next Year
The Hatboro-Horsham School Board has banned cell phone usage during class time for the 2026-2027 school year.
HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Starting the next school year, students won't be allowed to use their cell phones during classtime.
The Hatboro-Horsham School Board recently approved a resolution establishing when students can use personal electronic devices (cell phones, smart watches, etc.) during the school day.
Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, there will be a bell-to-bell ban at all the elementary schools and Keith Valley Middle School.

Those electronic devices can only be used during lunch and passing time at the Hatboro-Horsham High School.
The devices also can't be used in bathrooms, the resolution states.

In other school district business:
- School Director Theresa E. Brown will serve as the school board treasurer for a one-year term expiring June 30, 2027.
- The District’s Flexible Instructional Day application will allow for virtual instruction in emergency situations.
