Authorities Still Seeking Suspect In Child Luring Incident Near Upper Moreland Middle School

A man suspected of an attempted child luring near Upper Moreland Middle School is still being sought by police, who have released a sketch of his appearance.

The Upper Moreland School District said that on Friday, September 16, a student biking home from school was approached by the suspect pictured above near Davisville Road and Karen Lane.

The man was driving a light blue or grey four-door car and appeared to be in his early twenties. He rolled down the window and told the boy to get in the car. The boy refused, and the man drove away.

"Please speak with your children about incidents such as this, and remind them to never get into a stranger’s vehicle and to always seek out help from a trusted adult if such an incident occurs," the school district said in a statement.

The Upper Moreland Police Department is leading the investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at 215-657-4700.
