On Dec. 8, 2015, 7 year old Allyson Turner was found underwater and unresponsive in her bath tub after what we believe was an accidental slip and fall. Thinking fast, Allyson’s mom and dad, Bridget and Brad Turner, took turns giving her CPR, an act that truly saved her life. For weeks, Allyson fought for her life in the PICU at CHOP. Every time her parents would talk to her, they would tell her, “Just fight!”
Since that day, Ally has fought with the strength of a warrior while looking every bit like a princess, with her mom and dad and brother Liam (not to mention countless family members, community members and friends) by her side. Ally has made tremen-dous progress in a little over 2 months, but still has a lot more to overcome. Fortunately, Ally has proven to be a true fighter!
