Community Rallies Around Horsham Man After Sister, 24, Is Killed In Hit And Run

HORSHAM, PA -- The community is rallying around a Horsham man whose young sister was killed in a hit and run accident in Chester earlier this month.

John Bennett, of Horsham, lost his sister, Mary Ann, from Boothwyn, on February 9. She was 24.

In addition to funeral costs, John Bennett says that their mother is also facing a $30,000 to $100,000 from a contractor who damaged their house during construction.

However, the community has swiftly stepped in. A fundraiser has drawn more than $3,000 in donations in just a matter of days.

“ No amount will be too small and all proceeds will be used to support my sister’s funeral costs,” Bennett said. “Thank you in advance for any support you can offer.”
