Comprehensive Plan Approved For Hatboro-Horsham Schools
The plan is the first step toward the Hatboro-Horsham School District's strategic plan.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Hatboro-Horsham School Board has approved the district's 2024-2027 Comprehensive Plan, the first step toward the district's strategic plan.
At its March 18 school board meeting, the Gifted Education Plan, Induction Plan, and Professional Development Plan were also approved.
The Comprehensive Plan centers around three focus areas: Welcoming Schools, Achievement and Growth, and Post-Secondary Success.

All four documents will be submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Education for review and approval.
The District has reviewed and considered comments from community members solicited during the 28-day public posting period.

In other school district news:
- The school board approved the HHSD 2024 Summer Sports Camp Programs.
- Theresa Brown reminded everyone that the Pennsylvania School Boards Association Advocacy Day will be held on April 8 in Harrisburg as an opportunity for school leaders to come together to advocate for key education issues. The PSBA School Leadership Conference will take place on October 6-8. Brown also discussed the federal Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant and the Voya Unsung Heroes Program.
- The District is pleased to welcome James Monastero, School Psychologist at Crooked Billet, to HHSD.
- Andre’ McLaurin, Director of Educational Programming, reported that the elementary schools are in the process of identifying students to attend the four-week Summer Academy program beginning on June 24 to support students in math and reading. McLaurin also highlighted events happening in the District’s Title I schools to increase parental engagement. Blair Mill held its annual Family Wellness Night on March 14. Crooked Billet hosted its first annual Family Pizza Game Night on March 1. Hallowell continued its 16th year of hosting a community book club. Additionally, the District’s ELD Department has solicited feedback from non-English speaking families on ways HHSD can support the success of their students.
