Contractor Working To Fix Underground Utility Issues In Hatboro
The work may cause delays and periodic lane closures for motorists and residents from Thursday until Jan. 17.

HATBORO, PA —The pedestrian improvements project is back on again.
Hatboro officials announced Thursday that the contractor, Marino Corp., is working to resolve issues with the underground utilities in the area of the York & Summit Pedestrian Improvement.
Marino Corp informed the borough that Summit Avenue will be closed as needed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Thursday until Jan. 17.

The borough is working with the contractor to determine the extent to which traffic will be impacted on these days.
Residents and motorists should expect temporary lane restrictions while the project is taking place.

Borough officials said that all businesses are open for their regular business hours during construction.

The borough will be undergoing a pedestrian improvement project that will "greatly improve safety and accessibility" within the borough under a project from the PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
The projects include crosswalk improvements and an overhead flasher at York and Williams, crosswalk improvements and an overhead flasher at York and Summit, and the installation of an overhead flasher at Jacksonville and Meadowbrook.
These projects are being performed with assistance from $274,056 in grant funding from the DCED Multimodal Transportation Fund, $83,550 in funding from the ARLE Grant Program, and $142,748.00 in grant funding from the Montgomery County Transportation Program.
