HATBORO, PA —The Borough Council is expected to choose a new councilperson at Monday night's meeting.

That person will replace the late Councilwoman Aleta Ostrander, who passed away earlier this month, creating the vacant council seat that Borough Code requires must be filled within 30 days of the date of the vacancy.

Since Monday night's meeting is the last for the year, the council has on its agenda to announce and swear in the new council member.
