HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — With the upcoming opening of the new Miracle League Field this spring, the township continues to make improvements to Deep Meadow Park.

Township officials said that PECO utility crews were on site at the Horsham Road park on Tuesday to make an electrical connection to the newly installed parking lot lights in Deep Meadow Park.

"With a freshly paved lot and improved lighting, gone are the days of walking back to your car in the dark after Little League practices and games in the old gravel lot," officials said.

Work began on building the baseball field two years ago.

Through its affiliation with Horsham Little League, the Miracle Field of Horsham will provide opportunities for individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities to play baseball and softball in a safe and inclusive environment where they will find comfort, friendship, and a sense of belonging.

Harth Builders, a design-build remodeling firm serving the Central Bucks and Central Montgomery counties, is assisting with creating a fully accessible soft-surface field for athletes of all ages with physical and cognitive disabilities.

Horsham officials have said they're hoping the field can be the gem to upgrade township parks around, serving as the centerpiece for upgrades to Deep Meadow Park.

"While winter may have everything looking buried and barren, progress in the township is anything but," officials said. "We’re keeping projects moving forward — and looking ahead to an early spring at our parks."
