Diesel Leak Reported In Hatboro, Warminster

Hatboro officials said a sheen was observed within the creek in Celano Park. A cleanup is under way.

HATBORO, PA —Hatboro officials have responded to a diesel leak from neighboring Warminster Township within the creek in Celano Park.

Borough officials said at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday they observed a sheen within the creek.

The Hatboro Police Department, Enterprise Fire Company, Hatboro Public Works, and Hatboro's Fire Marshal responded and determined that the sheen was a result of a diesel leak in Warminster Township.

Emergency Personnel notified appropriate agencies, including the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and placed booms in the creek to prevent further spreading, borough officials said.

At this time, the appropriate agencies are working to clean up the spill and remediate the issue.
