HORSHAM, PA -- A dog bit a member of the Hatboro-Horsham girls track team while they were out for a run on Monday afternoon, Horsham police said.

The girl is fine, but authorities are looking for the owner of the dog to ensure that the dog is up to date on all of his vaccines.

The incident occurred on March 20 at around 3:30 p.m. on the Power Line Trail just off of Babylon Road, police said.

As the girls team ran, they passed a woman with two small dogs on leashes, authorities said. The dogs were both short-haired and multi-colored in shades of brown, tan, and white. They could be Jack Russell Terriers, or a beagle-terrier mix, authorities said.

As they passed by, the dogs started to run along with the team, and the woman ran along with them. That's when one of the dogs bit one of the girls on the team.
