Drone Reported Lost, Missing In Hatboro

Hatboro Police said a resident recovered a drone in their backyard over the weekend.

HATBORO, PA —Have you lost your drone?

While drones have appeared in the night skies throughout the Philadelphia region over the past week, one drone has been grounded.

The Hatboro Borough Police Department reported that a resident came across a drone on the ground in their backyard in the 400 block of Madison Avenue on Saturday.

The resident called and turned the drone over to police in case a child or anyone had lost it.

The drone is not suspicious in nature, police said

After researching the make/model of the drone, it was determined to be a beginner drone, police said.

Anyone who may have lost their drone should call Hatboro Police at 215-675-2832 and request to speak with Detective Sgt. Dilks to identify the drone and have it returned to you.

Police said the drone does turn on and appears to work properly.

Numerous drone sightings have been reported in Hatboro and Horsham Township, the Philadelphia region, New Jersey, and other states over the past few weeks.
