Earth Day Event Features Exhibitors, Seedlings In Hatboro
The Hatboro Environmental Advisory Council will hold its annual Earth Day celebration Saturday at the Pennypack Community Center.
HATBORO, PA —The borough will hold its annual Earth Day celebration Saturday at the Pennypack Community Center.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center on 130 Spring Ave. and will feature activities and informational booths for all ages, borough officials said.
Attendees can chat with exhibitors and vendors and watch a video inside the center.

Among the exhibitors and vendors are Hatboro Rotary, the Girl Scouts, the Arbor Day Foundation, Jarrett Nature Center, Back to Earth Composting, the Enterprise Fire Company, 4 Brothers Honey, Animal Help Now, The Union Library of Hatboro, Quiver Farms, and Journeyworks Garden Design.

Mayor Tim Schultz plans on presenting a program entitled "20 Ways to Change the World. One person at a time."
Free tree seedlings will also be given out. There will also be information about the borough's parks and Monarch butterflies.
The event is sponsored by the Hatboro Environmental Advisory Council.

- State Reps. Melissa Cerrato, Nancy Guenst, and Ben Sanchez will co-host a Senior Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 5, at Salem Baptist Church of Abington, 2741 Woodland Rd, Abington. There will be more than 50 government and community organizations with resources for older adults to learn about services available to them and ways to engage in their community. In addition to health, hearing, and vision screenings, there will also be sessions on fitness and an informative presentation by the PA Attorney General’s office, “Top Scams Against Seniors."
