Elderly Woman Robbed Outside Fresh Market In Horsham

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Horsham Township Police are seeking two suspects in a "strongarm robbery" of an elderly woman in the parking lot of the Fresh Market on Wednesday.

Horsham Police said the woman was approached outside the Fresh Market at 100 Welsh Rd. at 1 p.m. Wednesday after putting her groceries and purse inside her vehicle, which was parked in a handicapped space in front of the store.

After getting into her vehicle, a woman walked behind it and appeared to spray something on the vehicle, police said. The woman then knocked on the driver’s window and told the elderly victim that something was leaking.

When the victim went to take a look, the suspect distracted her by showing the liquid. Police said that's when a woman dressed in black approached the passenger door side and entered.

Police said a third woman was seen in the parking lot serving as a lookout.

Upon arriving home, the victim was notified that her credit card was attempted to be used
at the Willow Grove Walmart and the Willow Grove Best Buy, police said.

Police said video surveillance recovered shows the two female suspects in the stores attempting to make purchases. They appear to be driving in a blue/purple Honda Element.
