- What are the top issues currently facing your position and how do you plan to address them?
As with all communities, there are issues that must be faced in Hatboro. Some of these issues include flood mitigation, economic development, the revitalization of Main Street, and upkeep and maintenance of the Pennypack property. I will strive to improve riparian buffers along all waterways in Hatboro, work to attract businesses that will meet the needs of residents and create greater walkability and livability in Hatboro, and continue to hold community events while also expanding the event calendar to draw more people to Main Street Hatboro and find ways to utilize the Pennypack property that will benefit all of our residents.
2. Identify specific goals or ideas you have to enhance life in your position:
I have been a Hatboro resident for most of my life. I take great pride in being an active member of the community. I currently serve as a Councilwoman for the Borough of Hatboro. I am the Chair of the Public Safety Committee and the Co-Chair of the Facilities Committee. I also serve on the Pennypack Indoor Facility Committee. I have always said that what is most important to me is being a kind and involved member of the Hatboro community. If re-elected, I plan to continue to be a strong voice for the community. I also plan to continue to work with residents and business owners to understand their needs and work toward goals that are in the best interest of the community.
3. What in your experience or background prepares you for election to office?
I have served as a Borough Councilwoman for the last two years. During that time, we have accomplished many of our goals, including acquiring the Pennypack property, creating a Traffic Garden at the Pennypack property, creating the Gold Star Garden in Miller Meadow, and continuing to ensure that Hatboro is run in an effective, efficient, transparent, and responsible way. I have also served as a leader in the workplace, having been a charge nurse for more than 15 years.
