Fire Damages Privet Road Home In Horsham

The cause of Monday night's fire is under investigation, Horsham ChATs said. No injuries were reported.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —A Privet Road home suffered moderate damage after catching fire Monday night, Horsham ChATs said.

Horsham Community Police Services said the Horsham Township Fire Department responded to a call for a dwelling fire just before 9 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Privet Road.

Arriving fire crews reported smoke on the side of the home.

The call was then upgraded and additional companies were sent to the scene to assist, Horsham ChATs said.

Due to the quick work by firefighters, the home suffered only moderate damage.

"We would like to thank of fire company for their amazing work as well as all of our mutual aid companies for their help last night," Horsham ChATs said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by our Fire Marshal.

The family was assisted on the scene by the township's Department of Emergency Management.

There were no injuries reported.

Privet Road was closed at Jarrett Road for serval hours during the incident, Horsham ChATs said.

Earlier in the evening, around 6 p.m., the fire department assisted the Warminster Fire Company on a building fire call on the 200 block of Gibson Avenue, Horsham CHats said.
