Firearms Violation Leads To Charges For Horsham Township Man: Police
William Hooven tried to purchase a weapon he was not permitted to, Springfield Township police said. He was already in Bucks County Prison.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —A Horsham Township man has been charged with a firearms violation after attempting to buy one knowing he was not permitted to do so, Springfield Township police said.
The Springfield Township Police arrested 60-year-old William Hooven on Dec. 16.

- Materially false written statement - purchase firearm (Felony)
- False Statement/Under Penalty (Misdemeanor)
Police said Hooven was already incarcerated at Bucks County Correctional Facility under separate, unrelated charges from another police department at the conclusion of the Springfield Township police investigation.
Police fingerprinted and photographed Hooven at the prison upon filing the firearms violation's paperwork with the courts.
