Free Gun Locks Offered By Hatboro Police

HATBORO, PA —The Hatboro Borough Police Department is offering free gun locks to protect children.

Hatboro Police has partnered with Project ChildSafe to provide free gun safety kits, which include a gun lock.

Project ChildSafe is a nationwide education program that promotes responsible gun ownership and safe storage of firearms in the home.

The program was developed by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearm industry, to raise awareness about firearm safety.

The free cable-style gun locks and educational materials allow gun owners to securely store their guns away from unauthorized persons, including children, at-risk individuals, and criminals.

Anyone interested in a gun safety kit should stop by the police department and speak with a police operations clerk. The police station is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
