Freezer 5K Is Dec. 9 In Horsham

The race benefits needy families in Horsham and the Horsham Township Parks and Recreation Department.

HORSHAM, PA — Local runners who like to bundle up and hit the road are in luck — it's almost time for the Freezer 5K in Horsham.

The certified 5K, along with a one-mile family fun walk, is set for Sunday, Dec. 9. The race, on the Horsham Power Line Trail, starts at 10 a.m., with the fun run set to step off at 9:45 a.m.

The course starts and finishes at Simmons Elementary School, at 411 Babylon Rd. Proceeds from the race benefit the Horsham Township Parks and Recreation department as well as needy families in the township.

Runners will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt and walkers will receive a long-sleeve knit shirt.
