Fundraiser Launched For Mother, Son Killed In Horsham Crash

Loved ones have launched a fundraiser for the family of a son and his mother who were killed in a crash in Horsham Tuesday.

HORSHAM, PA — A mother and son on their way to church were killed in a car crash earlier this week, according to loved ones who have created an online fundraiser for funeral expenses.

Young Won and James Won were killed in a crash on Rt. 611 in Horsham on Tuesday, March 20, loved ones said on the GoFundMe page created Thursday.

Police confirmed the double fatal crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. near the intersection with West Moreland Avenue, in front of Chapman Ford. Authorities said they're seeking witnesses of the crash.

The initial collision occurred between a 2008 silver Honda Civic, which carried both of the victims, and a 2003 Honda CR-V, police said. The CR-V was then struck by a Toyota Matrix. The other two drivers survived the crash.

It's not yet clear if the snowy weather played a role in the collision, police said.

Loved ones have set a fundraising goal of $25,000 and plan to give the money to the family to help with funeral expenses. The viewing will be on Monday, March 26 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm and the burial and ceremony on Tuesday, March 27, according to the family's GoFundMe page.
