Great American Relay Running Through Philly Region Monday

Hatboro Police said the relay will run along York Road through the borough and Warminster just before noon on Monday.

PHILADELPHIA REGION —The Great American Relay —the running relay to remember 9/11 —will be coming through Hatboro and into Warminster on Monday.

The Hatboro Borough Police Department said the relay should arrive around 11:47 p.m. Monday.

The Great American Relay takes place during Patriots Week from Sept. 11-17.

The relay begins at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, covers 547 miles, has 161 legs, stops at 118 Firehouses, and ends at the World Trade Center Memorial in New York.

The relay will enter Hatboro on York Road from Upper Moreland Township, stop at the Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro, and then continue north on York Road into Warminster.

Runners will be escorted by police and other emergency vehicles.

Police ask drivers and residents to be patient as traffic on York Road will be affected for a short period.
