New Habitat For Humanity 'ReStore' Opens In Horsham

HORSHAM, PA — A new Habitat ReStore is opening in Horsham, providing a wide variety of cheap construction materials for home improvement projects.

The Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties will open the store on 200 Blair Mill Road on Saturday, March 17. Opening time is 9:30 a.m.

“Every ReStore purchase creates the opportunity for a better life,” said Habitat MontDelco Chief Executive Officer Marianne Lynch in a statement. "All sales help Habitat construct homes for affordable homeownership, provide critical repairs, revitalize neighborhoods, and support financial literacy classes for community members."

Materials include new and gently used cabinets, doors, flooring, furniture, hardware, housewares, lighting, plumbing, tools, windows, and more.

Habitat said that the store is perfect for college students, homeowners, contractors, and anyone looking to get affordable, reliable materials.

Organizers also tout the environmental sustainability of the operation.

"The ReStore keeps perfectly-good items out of local landfills—for the Horsham store we estimate 1,560,000 pounds in the first year alone," Lynch added. "In addition, the store contributes to the local economy by providing as many as 10 well paying jobs in its first year. Preparing for its opening has also required use of local contractors and other services that stimulate the economy as well."

This is the second Habitat Restore in Montgomery County. There is another in West Norriton at 533 Foundry Road.
