HATBORO, PA — Election results in Montgomery County are beginning to trickle in. Democrats have unofficially swept the mayoral council races in Hatboro.
Rainy weather and treacherous roads slick with leaves did not keep thousands from the polls for the municipal elections. The race for Hatboro Mayor went to Democrat Nancy Guenst, who defeated Republican Lavery in a close battle, 52.47 percent to 47.53 percent.
Guenst is a 59-year resident of the borough and has served as a councilwoman for two terms, including as the chair of the Parks and Recreation committee. She owns Designs in Stone, a small business in Warminster.
