Police Seek Hatboro Burglar In 'Scream' Mask

The burglary happened at about 9 a.m. on Monday, according to police.

HATBORO, PA — Police in Hatboro are hoping the public can help them hunt down a burglar they say robbed a local home while wearing a mask like the one from the "Scream" movies.

The Halloween-masked bandit broke in through a back door of a home on the 200 block of Byberry Road at about 9 a.m. on Monday, according to Hatboro Police. He stole a credit card and jewelry among other items, police say.

Officers were called at 10:51 a.m. when a resident returned home and noticed he had been robbed, according to police.

The burglar is believed to be driving a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck with fading paint. Police say he may have been casing the home before he robbed it and that he may have parked his truck at a nearby business complex.

Video surveillance images provide by police show the suspect in the home's backyard, wearing the "Scream" mask.

No one was home at the time of the burglary, according to police.
