Hatboro Federal Savings Bank held a grand reopening ceremony of its newly redesigned main South York Road branch on Monday morning.

HATBORO, PA —It sits right next to the Union Library of Hatborough. But for a while, no one could enter the building.
That all changed Monday morning.
The main branch of the Hatboro Federal Savings Bank held a grand reopening ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday morning with borough officials and local dignitaries at the bank's newly redesigned branch at 221 S. York Rd.

Bank officials told Patch that several construction delays put off the grand reopening.

According to the bank's website, Hatboro Federal Savings Bank was chartered on Feb. 3, 1941, with $25,000 in assets. Two months later, the bank issued its first home mortgage loan of $4,500 for a Hatboro.
The main branch has had several locations in Hatboro.
The bank also has branches in Warminster, Warrington, and Jamison.
It's first home was on 39 S. York Rd., before the bank moved to 214 S. York Rd. in Sept. 10, 1942.
