Hatboro Gets $739K From State For Walking Paths, Sidewalks
It's a significant step forward for walkability in the borough.

HATBORO, PA — Hatboro has been awarded a sizable grant from the state to improve walking paths and sidewalks in the borough.
The $739,704 grant will focus on the Crooked Billet elementary area, and will cover the construction of a six-foot wide asphalt walking path, ADA curb ramps, a five-foot-wide concrete sidewalk, and stormwater drainages.
"Our citizens are taking advantage of an array of trails and improvements that enhance the state’s quality of life, and these new investments will build on our successes in making Pennsylvania an attractive place to live and work," PennDOT Secretary Leslie S. Richards said in a statement announcing the funding.
