Hatboro Halloween Events This Weekend

HATBORO, PA -- The big day is just a few days away. Get into the Halloween spirit over the next few days in Hatboro with these events.

Hatboro Police have compiled a list of events celebrating the year's spookiest time:

• The annual "Skeleton Skurry" 5K race, sponsored by the Hatboro YMCA, is scheduled for Saturday, 10/29/2016. The race begins at 9:30 AM at the Pennypack Elementary School, 130 Spring Avenue. Please be advised that roads including sections of York Road, and certain streets west of York Road will be temporarily closed during this annual run. • The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring its annual Hatboro Halloween Stroll along the York Road Business District between Summit Avenue and Horsham Road from 2PM to 4 PM on Saturday, 10/29/2016. The event features free trick or treating at participating locations. For more details on this event please visitwww.hatborochamber.com.
• On the evening of Saturday, 10/29/2016please be alert for pedestrian traffic in the vicinity of the Hatboro Area YMCA properties on S. York Road due to special events being conducted by the YMCA. Fire police will be on hand to assist.
• Kids will be out trick or treating during the evening of Halloween, Monday, October 31, 2016. Police urge everyone out that night to be safe. Those walking should utilize sidewalks when available, wear light colored clothing with some reflective material and carry a flashlight. Motorists are asked to drive with extra caution for the safety and protection of all. Officers will be out distributing Halloween candy so make sure you look for them and say hello.
