Hatboro Hires Consulting Firm For Downtown Development

HATBORO, PA — The borough has brought back its former Main Street manager to help with downtown development.

The Hatboro Borough Council has approved the return of Stephen Barth, formerly Hatboro’s Main Street Manager, who is now president of Barth Consulting Group (BCG), an economic development and revitalization consulting firm.

Barth will assist the community and businesses to continue to thrive and grow, officials said. Over the next year, the Barth Consulting Group will work with businesses and promote the community by courting and accelerating new investments.

Barth had worked for Main Street Hatboro from 2010 through 2018.

“Hatboro has experienced substantial growth since 2018 with many new businesses and land development projects completed or soon to be completed,” Council President Nicole Reichner said. “As Main Street evolves and grows, the Hatboro Borough Council is investing back into and supporting the community and its businesses by helping to continue to shape our vibrant, walkable downtown.”

Officials said that investing in downtown revitalization benefits the entire community by increasing property values, creating new jobs and businesses, and improving the quality of life for residents.

“Hatboro is uniquely positioned to capitalize on its continuing growth and the influx of new investment downtown,” Barth said. “As the community continues to expand, this is an exciting opportunity for Hatboro to sculpt its future, support its businesses, attract new ones, and capitalize upon its successes.”
