Hatboro-Horsham High School has announced e its newest inductees for the 2015’s Athletic Wall of Fame.
Nominations for the Athletic Wall of Fame were presented during the summer, and reviewed by a Selection Committee composed of administrators, School Board members, community members, and current and former coaches and teachers.
“We are proud to honor the commitment, talent, and accomplishments of these individuals and teams, and to recognize how they aided our school’s ability to compete and achieve in various competitive sports arenas,” said High School Principal Dennis Williams.

The inductees for this year are:
- John Burian: Class of 1967 (Football)- Multiple All-BuxMont selections as a quarterback and safety, Team Captain, All-State quarterback
- 1979-80 Girls’ Basketball Team: Only undefeated girls’ basketball team in school history. The team boasted a Bux-Mont League record of 22-0 and were Bux-Mont League Champions … four of five starters were selected to the All-BuxMont team.
- 1982 Football Team: Undefeated in the Bux-Mont League including six shutouts and a Bux-Mont League Championship. The Hatters were rated the top team in the Philadelphia area by the Philadelphia Daily News in 1982 – the same year that Coach Dennis Steinly, Sr. was voted as the Coach of the Year by the Daily News.
- Joe Berry: Class of 2007 (Track & Field)- Multiple All-Conference selections, Pennsylvania State Champion in the pole vault (16’3”), Penn Relays gold medalist (16’3.25”).
- Amanda Sadowl: Class of 2008 (Softball) - Multiple All-Conference selections, All-Intelligencer, All-Southeastern PA, pitched a shutout in the first ever softball State Championship win, Pennsylvania Player of the year, EA Sports All-American
- Edward Coombs: Class of 2010 (Lacrosse)- Multiple All-Area selections, multiple All-Conference selections, Team Captain, Team MVP, Conference Player of the Year, All-State selection
Launched in 2008, the Hatboro-Horsham Athletic Wall of Fame was created in order to honor athletes, coaches, teams, and others who have achieved athletic accomplishments of the highest caliber, demonstrated leadership, or supported athletic programs.

A celebration for the 2015 inductees will be held on Monday, September 14 during the Wall of Fame Golf Outing at Talamore Country Club.
A private induction dinner and ceremony will take place on Friday, September 18. Later that evening, the inductees will also be presented to the public during an extended halftime ceremony at a home football game against Lansdale Catholic.
“We are delighted have three distinct opportunities to celebrate the achievements of these individuals and teams,” stressed Williams.
