Hatboro-Horsham Announces 2019 Athletic Wall of Fame Inductees
A celebration for the 2019 inductees will be held on Monday, September 30, during the Wall of Fame Golf Outing at Talamore Country Club.

Hatboro-Horsham High School is proud to announce its newest inductees for the 2019’s Athletic Wall of Fame.
A Selection Committee of administrators, School Board members, community members, and current and former coaches and teachers reviewed the nominations.
“We are honored to recognize these outstanding teams and athletes who made tremendous contributions to their sports and act as inspirations for future athletes,” said High School Principal Dennis Williams.

The inductees for this year are:
The 1970-71 Football Teams with Coach Rogers Frassenei

The two most dominant teams of the 1970s. The 1970 team won the first Championship since 1941 by going 9-1-1. After graduating 12 starters, the 1971 team was picked to finish last in the league and dominated by finishing the season with a 10-1 record. Their only loss was controversial and they protested defeat to powerhouse Central Bucks West in what will forever be known as the “extended clock game.”
Bill Volrath - Wrestling (Class of 1973)
Four-year letter winner, named The Bulletin Scholar Athlete, 1st Team All-BuxMont two years and a two-year Captain. Bill finished his HH career with a record of 70-10-6 and represented HH at sectionals, districts, regionals and collected two Pennsylvania State medals.
Sherry Brown - Basketball, Field Hockey & Softball (Class or 1981)
Basketball: Three-year starter on two BuxMont Champion teams and two District playoff teams, and 1st team All-Area and Team MVP.
Field Hockey: Three-year varsity starter. Team MVP and 1st team All-BuxMont selection.
Softball: Three-year varsity starter. Team MVP and 1st team All-BuxMont. She was also named Outstanding Female Athlete
Dennis Vinson - Cross Country, Track & Field (Class of 1987)
Named 1st Team All-State in Cross Country. He was 1987 PIAA Outdoor State Champion in the mile, and at the time he was the first runner to win a State Championship. He competed at the Penn Relays, and upon graduation he held records in the mile, two-mile, distance medley and 1,000 meters. He competed in the Indoor Pennsylvania State Championships all three years. During his career, he won 26 medals in competition including eight first place gold medals.
Courtney Adlam - Swimming/Diving (Class of 2005)
Four-year letter winner as a diver. Four-time Suburban One League Champion, four time Suburban One League 1st team All-League honors, three-time PIAA District Champion, four PIAA State medals and won the PIAA State Diving Championship in 2005. Courtney was a SportsQuest 1st team All-American and also qualified for Junior Nationals all four years of her HH career.
Matt Harkins - Wrestling (Class of 2011)
One of the most prolific wrestlers in HH mat history. He is the all-time wins leader with a record of 153-23 with 70 wins and a win percentage of 87%. Matt was a four-time sectional champion, three-time District Champion, Regional Champion and two-time medalist at the State Championship along with being a Southeastern Pennsylvania Champion.
Cortnee Daley – Field Hockey & Lacrosse (Class of 2012)
Field Hockey: 1st team All-League, HH MVP and honorable mention All-State
Lacrosse: Three-time 1st team All-League recognition, 1st Team Philly Lacrosse recognition, two-time HH Captain, Team MVP, Intelligencer Lacrosse Player of the Year and was selected to the U.S. High School All-American Team.
Jim Kelly - Track & Field
The father and chief architect of the HH Indoor Track & Field Program. He was the head coach of the boy’s indoor program for 30 years and developed the girl’s indoor program in the late 1970s. This allowed an opportunity for female runners to compete and compete fairly as a team, an opportunity that didn’t exist previously. For over 40 years, Jim Kelly has been a constant force in the development and success of the track and field program. Jim served as a board member and Vice-President of the Track & Field Coaches Association of Greater Philadelphia, Inc., where he has been recognized for his commitment and dedication to the sport.
Since its inception in 2008, the Hatboro-Horsham Athletic Wall of Fame honors athletes, coaches, teams and others who have achieved athletic accomplishments of the highest caliber, demonstrated leadership or supported athletic programs.
A celebration for the 2019 inductees will be held on Monday, September 30, during the Wall of Fame Golf Outing at Talamore Country Club. Registration can be made online at https://www.hatboro-horsham.org/Page/533.
The private celebration ceremony and dinner for inductees begins on Friday, September 27. Later that evening, the inductees will be presented to the public during an extended halftime ceremony at Hatboro-Horsham’s home football game against Upper Moreland High School.
“The District is looking forward to the three celebrations and hopes the public can join us in applauding these individuals and teams,” said Williams.
