Hatboro-Horsham Area Citizens Police Academy Opens

Classes will include history of policing, an evening with a Judge, an FBI agent, a homicide detective, and more.

HATBORO, PA -- The Horsham Township Police Department and Hatboro Police Department will be hosting the twentieth session of the Citizens Police Academy program on Wednesday evenings from March 16, 2016 through May 18, 2016, the departments announced.

Registration is now open for the Citizens Police Academy for residents of Horsham, Hatboro and surrounding areas as part of the community crime prevention program.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet and interact with the members of both police departments about issues that concern you and get a better understanding of law enforcement. Each class will feature a different topic including a history of policing, an evening with a Judge, an FBI agent, a homicide detective and other interesting and dynamic instructors.

The class will finish with a drug awareness presentation and graduation with the Chiefs of Police awarding certificates to our graduates.

This FREE 10-week course is held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM in the Horsham Township Community Center, 1025 Horsham Road, Horsham Pennsylvania. Applicants should be 18 years of age or older to attend the program, or 16 with parental permission. Applications may be downloaded at www.horsham.org
