Hatboro-Horsham Fifth Grader Organizes Hurricane Clothing Drive

A Hatboro-Horsham school district fifth grader has organized a clothing drive to benefit victims of Hurricane Maria.

HORSHAM, PA — A Hatboro-Horsham school district fifth grader recently organized a clothing drive to benefit victims of Hurricane Maria.

Student Mia Rivera, of Simmons Elementary School, worked closely with the Simmons Stars and their families on the project.

All told, more than 80 bags and boxes of clothing were gathered, the school district said.

The clothes will be distributed through a local church to locations in need in Philadelphia and Puerto Rico.
