Hatboro-Horsham Grad, Swim Captain, Passes Away At 31

Too young. Rest in peace.

Andrea Lynn Gallagher, 31, of Philadelphia and formerly of Colmar, passed Thursday, October 15, 2015.
Born February 5, 1984 in Abington, she was a daughter of Susan T. Lederach and her husband, Scott, of Colmar, and James W. Gallagher III and his wife, Donna, of Hatboro.

Andrea graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School in 2002 where she served as captain of both the swimming and cross country teams. She then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa in 2006.

Andrea was employed as a recruiter for clinical trial studies, specializing in oncology research. She will be remembered for her willingness to always help others.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her fiancé, Jack McCaffrey of Philadelphia; siblings, James W. Gallagher IV (Carla) of West Grove, PA, Cathy Leigh Palazzo (Michael) of Raleigh, NC, Shelby Gallagher, Corey Gallagher, both of Hatboro; Megan Dickinson (Kevin) of Telford, and Adam Lederach of Hatboro; nieces and nephews, Hailey and James Gallagher V, Annabelle and Evangeline Palazzo, and Kayla Dickinson; maternal grandfather, William Speier (Marilyn) of Erie; maternal grandmother, Betty Jane Lederach of Telford; and a large extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Andrea’s memory to Keystone Opportunity Center, 104 N. Main St., Souderton, PA 18964.
