Hatboro-Horsham High School's Musical Theater students will perform the dance-infused musical "Footloose" on April 23, 24 and 25, 2015.

Hatboro-Horsham High School’s Musical Theater students will perform the dance-infused musical “Footloose” on April 23, 24 and 25, 2015. Based on the 1984 smash hit movie of the same name, the story is about the redeeming power of dance and contains many toe tapping and finger snapping tunes. All performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Hatboro-Horsham High School.

The high-energy play follows Ren McCormack who, with his mother Ethel, relocate from the big city to a small, farming community. Ren is stunned to learn that dancing is not allowed within the town limits. Although Ren doesn’t fit in, he eventually connects with his peers and helps to change the local culture.
The talented cast includes: Soren Madsen as Ren, Alexandra Rivers as Ethel, Brian Hagelin as Reverend and Kate Schill as Ariel.
The show contains the popular 1980’s classics “Let’s Hear It for the Boy,” “Holding Out for a Hero,” “Almost Paradise,” and many other energetic pieces, performed by a live orchestra
Tickets can be purchased online through Brown Paper tickets (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/venue/204549) and at the door. The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. and tickets will be available one hour before performances begin on April 23, 24 and 25, 2015.
Hatboro-Horsham High School is located at 800 Horsham Road, Horsham, PA.
