Hatboro, Horsham Holding Reorganization Meetings

Both government bodies will swear in newly elected council members who won in the Nov. 7 general election and other appointments Tuesday.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Hatboro and Horsham Township will hold their reorganization meetings Tuesday night.

In Horsham, the township will swear in two new council members who won in the Nov. 7 general election: Ellen Zschunke and Samantha Slaff.

The ceremony will include State Rep. Melissa Cerrato and new District Justice Todd Stephens.

The township will also hold the election of the following council positions:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Council Treasurer (to serve as an alternate check signer)
  • Council Secretary
  • Parliamentarian
Horsham Township will also consider the following appointments:
  • Vacancy Board Chairman: (1) 1-year term
  • Horsham Planning Commission (2) 4-year term
  • Horsham Water & Sewer Authority (2) 5-year term
  • Park & Recreation Board (1) 5-year term
  • Police Pension Advisory Committee (1) 4-year term
  • Industrial & Commercial Development Authority (1) 5-year term
  • Zoning Hearing Board (1) 3-year term
  • Environmental Advisory Board (1) 5-year term
  • Historical Advisory Commission (1) 5-year term, (1) 2-year term
  • Library Board of Directors (1) 3-year term
  • Horsham Land Redevelopment Authority (1) 5-year term
  • UCC Board of Appeals (1) 5-year term
  • Military Installation Remediation & Infrastructure Authority (2) 5-year term

Meanwhile, Hatboro Borough Council will hold the 2024 Reorganization Meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Loller Academy on 414 S. York Rd.

The reorganization meeting includes the swearing-in of Councilwomen Nicole Reichner, Nicole McMenamin, Nicole Shay, and Amanda Jacobus.

The election of officers for 2024 and 2025, and the swearing-in of a new police officer as well as staff appointments will also take place.

Both meetings are open to the public.
