Hatboro-Horsham To Host First Mid-Atlantic Robotics Competition

The robots are coming...to Hatboro-Horsham

HORSHAM, PA -- The robots are coming...to Hatboro-Horsham.

The high school will host the First Mid-Atlantic Robotics Competition. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 4 and March 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The challenge for high school team during this event is "steamworks," a category only revealed to students in January.

Students must build "airships" which then compete in a variety of tasks to earn points.

The competition is hosted by First, an organization which organizes K-12 programs for kids around the country.

Students raise funds, design a team brand, and work together to create the best machines.

Participants in the challenge are eligible to apply for $50 million in college scholarships.
