Hatboro-Horsham HS Student Council to Host First-Ever Mini-Thon

Hatboro-Horsham students have set a goal of raising $15,000 for children with cancer, and are already halfway to their goal.

HORSHAM, PA -- Hatboro-Horsham's first-ever Mini-Thon will be held this May, this school district announced.

The dance marathon will raise money for pediatric cancer research and support families of children with cancer.

The Thon is in the spirit of Penn State's Dance Marathon, which is the largest of its kind in the nation. Money goes directly toward the Four Diamonds Fund, which specifically supports children at Penn State Children's Hospital.

More than 235 school in five states participate in Mini-Thons.

According to the school, students have set a goal of raising $15,000, and are already halfway to their goal.

The event will include family friendly games for children of all ages.

The community is invited to the event, which will take place on May 13 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the high school.
