Hatboro-Horsham Ranked As Above-Average School District In PA
Niche, the leading platform connecting students and families with colleges and schools, has just published its 2025 Best Schools rankings.
HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Hatboro-Horsham School District has been ranked the 11th-best school district in Montgomery County and the 119th-best in Pennsylvania in Niche’s 2025 Best Schools and Districts rankings released recently.
Niche gave the school district an overall letter grade of B+. Grades in specific categories were:
- Academics - A-
- Diversity - B
- Teachers - B
- College Prep - A
- Clubs & Activities - B+
- Administration- C+
Hatboro-Horsham also ranked 291st for best places to teach in Pennsylvania and 131st for the most diverse school districts in Pennsylvania. The rankings in Montgomery County for those categories are the 17th best places to teach and the 12th most diverse district.

In the Philadelphia region, Hatboro-Horsham ranks as the 46th-best school district, 79th best place to teach, and 69th most diverse district.
Hatboro-Horsham also received a C for food, a B+ for sports, and a C- for resources and facilities.

The Hatboro-Horsham School District is an above-average public school district that has 4,260 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. According to state test scores, 44 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 64 percent in reading.
The rankings differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that it also include input from students, alumni, and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources, and facilities.
