Hatboro-Horsham School Board Incumbents Re-Elected: Unofficial Results
Hatboro-Horsham's five Democratic incumbent school board members won in unofficial results. Council President David Brown had a close win.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The five Democratic incumbents on the Hatboro-Horsham School Board retained their seats board based on unofficial results from Tuesday's general election.
School Board President David Brown held off a challenge by Republican Bill Daly as the two debated several issues the week before Election Day.
With 100 percent of Montgomery County's 426 precincts reporting, Brown won by less than 100 votes over Daly, the former Horsham Township Police Chief.

Brown received 5,257 votes to 5,062 for Daly.
Daly had appeared before the school board at a recent meeting to question a statement by Brown at a prior meeting that there were no incidents of drug use during the first month of school. Schools Superintendent Scott Eveslage accepted responsibility, stating that Brown had received the wrong information.

Both sides also debated violence in schools where Republican challengers posted videos of incidents in schools. Brown fired back that the challengers were using the videos as a "lame attempt to cause fear and confusion in order to gain control of our schools. "
Democratic School Board Member Theresa E. Brown topped all vote-getters with 5,465 votes followed by Denise DJ Schultz with 5,387 votes, and Susan Hunsinger-Hoff with 5,329 votes.
Republican challengers Vince Varallo received 4,833 votes, Janine Solley 4,795 votes and Kellie Hall garnered 4,804 votes.
Voter turnout in the township and borough's 22 precincts was 42.55 percent.
The Montgomery Board of Elections stated that all results are unofficial and are still being updated. The precinct indicator applies only to ballots cast in person. Results for all ballot types will continue to update after Election Day as some ballots require additional evaluation. Military and Overseas ballots can be received up to a week after Election Day.
