Hatboro-Horsham Students Recognized For Academics, Athletics

The Hatboro-Horsham School Board honored students for getting straight A's and for their sports prowess.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Hatboro-Horsham School District has recognized students for their academic and athletic achievements.

At its recent school board meeting, school officials presented awards to some members of the Class of 2024 and Keith Valley Middle School students who had perfect grades. Meanwhile, several athletes were also honored at the school board's June meetings.

Hatboro-Horsham High School Principal Dennis Williams presented awards to members of the Class of 2024 who played significant leadership roles at the high school:

  • HHTV: Isabella Solofsky (Temple University)
  • Hi-Hatter Yearbook Editors: Mia Bellizzie (Univ. of Tennessee), Isabella Moffa (Bloomsburg Univ.), Sarah Roesing (West Chester Univ.), Natalie Tocci (Northeastern Univ.)
  • National Honor Society: Kali Fullmer (Spring Arbor Univ.)
  • Advisory Board Leadership: Jackson Birster (Widener Univ.), Isabella Moffa (Bloomsburg Univ.), Jesse Wisnoff (Univ. of Delaware)
  • Student Council Leadership: Anna Gockley (Grove City College), Arya Patel (Univ. of Pittsburgh), Haley Wallach (Auburn Univ.)
  • Student School Board Representatives: Ariana Bertrand (Univ. of Pennsylvania) and Harper Sirine (Kutztown Univ.).

The board also acknowledged the accomplishments of 42 Keith Valley students who received straight A’s for every marking period in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade.

The board also awarded Ariana Bertrand the School Board Senior Award for her scholarship, citizenship, and character with Schools Superintendent Scott Eveslage saying she exhibited scholarship, citizenship, and strong character while contributing to the betterment of the high school and the community.

Meanwhile, the school board recognized the school district's 2023-24 State Champions.

Charles Cathers, the director of Athletics and Activities, recognized the following students:

Girls Swimming

  • 200-Yard Individual Medley: Annie Jia
  • 100-Yard Butterfly: Annie Jia (who set a new state record)
  • 200-Yard Freestyle Relay: Annie Jia, Eloise Mothersbaugh, Emelia Erikson, and Sarah Parker
  • 400-Yard Freestyle Relay: Annie Jia, Emelia Erikson, Sarah Parker, and Megan Luddecke

Boys Wrestling

  • Dominick Morrison won the PIAA Class AAA 107-pound Wrestling State Championship.

Indoor Percussion

2023-2024 Mid-Atlantic Percussion Champions (with the highest score in HHHS history):
