HATBORO, PA — A new monument honoring a Hatboro police chief who died in the line of duty in 1935 has been installed in the front of the police station, borough officials said.
The monument acknowledges the sacrifice made by Chief Warren Kramer. According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, Kramer was killed in the line of duty when he stepped off the curb into the street and was struck by a vehicle.
When he was hit, he was searching for lost property.
