HATBORO, PA — The Hatboro Little League has opened its 70th season of baseball.

Before a ceremony with local dignitaries last Saturday, the Little League began play on its fields at the corner of County Line and Blair Mill roads.

Hatboro Council President Nicole Reichner, Vice President Amanda Jacobus, Councilmen Alex Myers and Don Hoover, Councilwomen Jennifer Hendrickson and Erin McCuen, along with Borough Manager Diane Hegele, attended Opening Day.

State Rep. Nancy Guenst also attended the ceremony.

Hoover and Hegele threw out the first pitches to officially open the 70th season.

"It is always an honor to celebrate the Little League and see all the children who have so much fun and learn so much about teamwork, playing ball, and having fun," Hatboro officials said.

Borough officials congratulated all of the award winners, and Little League President and Coach Kory Kollar, and also thanked the Enterprise Fire Company and Hatboro Borough Police for their support of the Little League.
