Hatboro Pharmacy Business Shuts Down Amid Allegations
A Hatboro-based pharmacy business is closing down amid allegations that it falsified prescriptions.

A Hatboro-based mail-order pharmacy is shutting down its business after accusations surfaced that it ordered employees to falsify prescriptions so more orders were filled with a certain brand of products, according to reports.
Philidor RX Services allegedly told its employees to only fill prescriptions with Valeant Pharmaceutical International’s products, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
When the allegations surfaced, Valeant seems to have decided to end its relationship with Philidor, the report states.

In a press release, Philidor denied allegations of wrongdoing.
From day one, Philidor has been focused on providing patients the medication their doctors say they need quickly and efficiently. We remain steadfast that Philidor has adhered not only to all applicable laws but to the highest standards of ethical business practice. Despite Philidor’s best efforts to communicate this, Philidor’s principal client, Valeant, has decided to end its relationship with Philidor.

Philidor added that they would work with Valeant over the next few months to transfer patients’ prescriptions to other pharmacies.
